ApplicationOS ("Application Online System") is a product of Housing Programs Software. This policy describes how we handle information on this website and in the ApplicationOS applicant portal.

This website

This website is informational. It does not use advertising trackers and does not sell or share visitor information. If you contact us by email, we use your message and contact details only to respond to you.

The applicant portal

When you apply to a housing program through ApplicationOS, the information and documents you submit are collected on behalf of the housing agency you are applying to. That agency is the owner of your application and determines how it is used, consistent with its program rules and applicable law.

• What we collect: the information and documents you provide in your application, and your email address, which is used to send you secure sign-in links and status updates.
• How it is protected: data is hosted on Microsoft Azure and encrypted in transit and at rest. Each agency's data is kept in its own isolated workspace.
• Automated processing: documents you upload (such as bank statements and pay stubs) may be processed with AI-assisted tools to organize their contents for review by agency staff. Eligibility decisions are made by agency staff, not by automated systems.
• What we never do: we do not sell applicant information, and we do not use it for advertising.
